Jenna looked amazing yesterday (October 16) while attending a photocall for The Cry during the 2018 MIPCOM in Cannes (France). She was there to trying to sell the series to international buyers, and she succeed! According to The Hollywood Reporter:

THR – International buyers are lining up to join Jenna Coleman’s The Cry.

DRG has inked multiple territories for the new miniseries, which was the second-biggest drama launch of the year on the BBC, drawing 7.3 million viewers.

Coleman, who stars as a young Queen Victoria in ITV’s royal hit Victoria, headlines as Joanna, a mother who finds herself at the center of a media frenzy after she suffers a profoundly personal tragedy. Ewen Leslie (Top of the Lake: China Girl) co-stars as her husband, Alistair, in the psychological thriller based on Helen FitzGerald’s best-selling book of the same name.

M6 in France, TV2 in Norway, Sweden’s C More and Canal Plus in Poland picked up TV rights for The Cry in their respective territories, as did TVNZ (New Zealand), NPO (The Netherlands) and BBC Worldwide for its channels in Benelux, the Middle East and Africa.

Sundance Now has the series for the U.S., and Australia’s ABC, which co-produced, will air it down under. British shingle Synchronicity produced the four-part drama for BBC One.

Jacquelin Perske (The Secret Life of Us) wrote the screenplay for The Cry, with Glendyn Ivin (Gallipoli) directing and Brian Kaczynski (Peaky Blinders) producing.
